Awaaz Studio Festival
Awaaz Studio is a Jaipur-Delhi based art furtherance house on a mission to promote and celebrate local art. We believe that flairs and talents from all walks of life can be fostered and nurtured; and we do so by conducting workshops, events and training session across the country. Having worked with more than 300 performing and visual artists, we are driven by the mission to promote & celebrate local art, globally.
Here’s an after-movie of one of our past events to give you a glimpse of what we do: https://youtube.com/watch?v=6KjY0BL97Gg
Coming to the upcoming festival, it is a mixed bag of all the beautiful things we did this year. It has been a roller coaster ride, we hosted artists from more than 10+ cities of the country, with the likes of including Piyush Mishra, Hussain Haidry, Mohammad Muneem, Hardik Vaghela, Juma Khan, Samar Mehdi, Saby Singh among others. We understood the community more and interacted with a lot of indie artists to learn and discuss their problems, issues, artworks, ambitions, dreams, etc.
Later half of the year saw us introducing more formalized structures for the community to meet, talk and celebrate local art in different capacities. We did our first multi-city tour with Bappaditya Sarkar and Mohammad Muneem, in Pune, Delhi, and Mumbai. We would love to inform you that now we have active communities in all these cities, expanding each and every day. To help facilitate our vision further, we partnered with like-minded bands including Out of Eden Walk by National Geographic, OYO, SOCIAL, TEDxJaipur, Jaipur Rugs among others.
Well, that’s quite a journey, right? And we are bringing together all of this plus much more with Awaaz Studio Festival.
The festival will be headlined by Ankur Tewari who happens to be Music Supervisor of Gully Boy (Movie), Made in Heaven (Web Series), etc. to name a few. He is also the winner of Music Maestro award at the GQ Style & Culture Awards 2019. Sharing the spotlight would be Bhopal-based singer-songwriter Samar Mehdi, and a slew of other local artists like Piyush Bhisekar, Abhin Joshi, etc.
Some of the good folks you would see at the festival include UNICEF, MGD School, Angel’s Music Academy, Raksha NGO along with various other homegrown brands & independent artists and 1000+ visitors.
